This Adona classic four-shelf audio rack is fully compatable with the rest of the 45 Series. This is a "buffed-up" version of the rack that earned Adona Corporation a place in the high-end audio arena. It's sonic signature is completely flat throughout the entire audio spectrum. You'll experience incredible focus, life-like sound stage and tight bass response. All without any perceived added coloration. This design has remained unchanged since the first units were sold back in 2001. Many of our customers have been happy to find out that over eight years later they can still add more shelves to their existing rack, and everything looks the same and fits perfectly. Many other companies have come and gone in that time or made improvements that make the old stuff obsolete. Not so with our 45-Series racks. It's far from becoming a boat anchor, and it's nice to know that it's so strong and heavy, that you could actually anchor your boat to it!
Columns are 30 percent beefier than our already-large standard ones giving this rack the aggressive stance that has become so fashionable these days. Forget those spindly looking columns found on other brands. This rack makes a serious statement:.... Strength! As viewed from the front, the columns are almost 3 1/2 inches wide! So, go get some big Krell amps, a couple of Wilson Grand Slams and show the world that you take your hobby seriously.

The "Monster"

This model has four infinitely adjustable granite shelves each with a slab of 1/2 inch thick stone and incorporates Adona's proprietary anti-resonance technology. Each shelf has a capacity of over 300 pounds. Thats over a half a ton for the whole rack! It is most likely the most rigid rack available anywhere. Each stone slab measures 18" x 18" (upgrade any shelf to a larger 19 x 24 inch platform for an additional $100.00) is black in color and is bonded to a 3/4 inch thick anti-resonant substrate. This prevents the stone from "ringing". The resulting damping effect is equivalent to that of stone several inches thick! The Adona anti-resonant technology is the result of many years of research and development. Our secret is in the way we transfer energy back-and-forth between the different layers of materials. The material mismatch is deliberate and well executed and nulls-out any of the negative effects of each material producing a flat response throughout the entire audio spectrum. Guaranteed! Competitors have tried their own version of this design by substituting other materials between the MDF and granite(or worse yet just plain granite)! And the results are always the same, a compromise in soundstage and a sense of hardness in the upper midrange.
